Each year, the awards acknowledge accomplishments within the unified communications and VoIP industry. As with previous years, the 2023 Comms Council UK Awards were sponsored by Magrathea, and the winners were announced yesterday at a ceremony at Tate Modern in London.
The award categories for this year include: Best Communication Provider-SME, Best Communication Provider-Enterprise, Best SOHO Service, Best Enterprise Service, Best Multi-national Service, Best Innovation, Best Comms Application, Best Comms Device, and Best Industry Enabler.
Andy Rawnsley, from Gamma, was named Comms Council UK Hero for his longstanding support to the industry. The judges said, “From his work at the NICC, to supporting various initiatives around nuisance calls and fraud, Andy has been a stalwart of the industry who has provided huge expertise and wise counsel together with a strong collaborative spirit both with colleagues in Gamma but also within the industry.”
Eli Katz, chair, Comms Council UK Council, added, “It’s been another fantastic CCUK Awards ceremony, and the fact that we are now at our 15th edition demonstrates that our industry continues to be a vital part of UK telecommunications.
“It was great to see winners and a number of highly commended from a wide range of companies – the spirit of innovation and competition is clearly strong right across the sector.
“Well done also to our Hero of the Year Andy Rawnsley from Gamma for his long standing support to the industry in so many areas. Now the work begins to ensure that 2024’s entries are just as good!”
