Giacom expands FTTP portfolio with CityFibre

Giacom has added CityFibre’s FTTP services to its broadband offerings.

The launch of this FTTP broadband offering will open new opportunities for partners to offer full fibre in areas outside of the Openreach network.

This expansion of Giacom’s fibre footprint will also provide partners with more choice when selecting replacement services in the lead up to the PSTN switch off, scheduled for 2025 with the stop sell programme ramping up in September.

Terry O’Brien, CEO, Giacom (pictured), said, “We’re excited to be building on our relationship with CityFibre, and to be giving our partners access to their purpose-built network. CityFibre FTTP offers symmetrical bandwidth, making it truly unique within our portfolio and a valuable addition to our product range.

“There’s no question that this service will help our partners to develop business opportunities and to differentiate themselves in the market.”

Andrew Wilson, sales director, business, CityFibre, added, “Building on the success of the great relationship CityFibre has with Giacom for Ethernet, we’re thrilled to be its first alternative network provider for business FTTP.

“In many places, our footprint gives Giacom’s partners the ability to offer full fibre broadband services to businesses for the first time and as our build continues to scale, that opportunity keeps growing. It’s an exciting time for Giacom partners and the market right now.”

To assist its partners, Giacom is offering sales and marketing support for CityFibre’s FTTP services as well as white-labelled sales materials. In addition, the Giacom team will work directly with partners to help identify sales opportunities, wash data, and build marketing campaigns to drive sales enquiries.
