NFON streamlines management team

NFON has announced a restructuring of its corporate management team, with the company’s CTO exiting the business and the CMO and CFO to transition to revised roles.

The company said the restructuring aims to put it “back on track for growth, achieve higher profitability and live up to its role as an innovative pioneer of integrated cloud business communications in the European market”.

Patrik Heider (pictured) will assume the positions of both CEO and CFO. The executive board position of CTO will be newly filled, with the function of CMO to be integrated into the sales department.

Patrik Heider, chief executive officer, NFON, said, “It is time to adapt NFON’s corporate organisation to that of a modern software company and to ensure that sales and marketing, product management and development, but also people and culture, are now given a decisive and forward-looking role in the organisation. This is why they will become part of the new, expanded management team of NFON.

"Only with the right structure will we be able to efficiently implement the needs of our customers and attach even more importance to customer centricity in the future. On this basis of operational excellence, we will achieve sustainable profitability and return NFON to the role of an innovator, setting impulses with technological innovations in the fast-moving market for cloud communication.”

As part of these changes, Jan-Peter Koopmann, the company’s CTO, has left NFON. Heider added, “The supervisory board of NFON has decided not to extend the contract with Jan-Peter Koopmann. In order to support the implementation of planned changes in the best possible way, Jan-Peter Koopmann proposed immediate release from his contract, which was accepted by the supervisory board of NFON AG.

“The supervisory board thanks Jan-Peter Koopmann for his commitment and achievements over the past 14 years and wishes him all the best for the future.”
