Ofcom has published its plan of work for 2024/25, outlining its areas of focus for the next financial year.

The next 12 months will be the first full financial year since the Online Safety Act was passed. It is the biggest expansion in Ofcom’ s powers in 20 years.
The plan of work sets out Ofcom’s priorities for the year ahead and explains how it will deliver on them. The priorities are:
- Reliable internet– ensuring fast, reliable and affordable connections and services for everyone, everywhere.
- Online safety – implementing the new online safety regime so that platforms are safer for their users.
- Enabling wireless services in the wider economy – ensuring efficient use of spectrum and supporting growth across the economy.
Alongside this, Ofcom has also published an update on its strategic approach to AI 2024/25.
