Kevin Watson, Director, CWNETWORKS, outlined: "The sale of our customer base to TelecomIT has two key advantages to us. The first is the cash generation which we will utilise to further expand our PABX division and the second by converting from a Reseller to a Dealer, it removes us from the day to day demands of supporting, billing and invoicing our customer base ".
Commenting on negotiations with TelecomIT, Kevin Watson stated: "The sale process was extremely simple, the whole process only lasted six weeks from our initial talks to complete billing migration."
Watson continued: "Our relationship with TelecomIT will continue as a Dealer. This not only allows us to benefit from a revenue share from the customer base but now enables us to offer services such as free ISDN2 and ISDN30 installations in support of our PABX customers."
Craig Busst, Director, TelecomIT, said: ’’This is our third acquisition of customer base in the last 12 months and we are seeing an increasing number of resellers wishing to migrate to a dealer model. This enables them to still provide a high level of service to their customers without having to tie up internal resource to support them. By maintaining the relationship with CWNETWORKS as a dealer, TelecomIT benefit from their involvement within the account and they benefit from an attractive ongoing revenue share as well as an upfront initial payment. This provides a real viable commercial alternative to simply selling the base.”
Busst concluded: “It was a pleasure to deal with Steve and Kevin at CWNETWORKS and I look forward to working with them closely moving forward."
