Angela steps in to lead Concordia

Concordia Technologies has appointed Angela Holdsworth as general manager to lead its growth across the UK.

Angela joins the company from Leigh Cables, a manufacturer and distributor of industrial high performance cables, where she was operations director.

She has wide experience in the cabling industry, having also worked as plant director at the former BICC Compounds and Industrial Cables plant based at Leigh.

Her experience also includes work for United Utilities as business change lead and The Manufacturing Institute as business improvement manager.

Angela, who lives in Cheshire, said: “There couldn’t be a better time to be joining Concordia. We are integrating a new business into the company, we are extending our sales team across the UK and bringing added services to our proposition.”

A non-executive director for major North Wales housing association Pennaf, she is also a Fellow of the Institute of Directors.

Angela’s appointment follows the acquisition by Concordia Technologies of the accessories business Appliversal from Renfrewshire Electronics Ltd (REL).

The business will become part of Concordia Technologies and will operate and distribute from the Concordia headquarters at Burnley, Lancashire.

Established for more than 30 years, Appliversal is a UK market leader for all major wholesalers in the field of crimp terminals, tools, cable management and associated products.

Concordia Technologies works closely with OEMs, consultants, installers and electrical distributors to provide a diverse range of cabling and security-based products and services for industrial, commercial and residential applications.
