CWSI invests £1m in UK growth plans

MSPs
Mobile and cloud security specialist CWSI has invested over £1m in the company’s planned growth within the UK and Ireland.

The investment will see the creation of 25 new roles in the UK and Ireland by the end of 2022, most being created within CWSI’s service delivery and technical consulting teams.

Headquartered in Dublin, CWSI entered the UK market in 2017 and has partnerships with global telecommunications providers including Telefonica, Telstra and Hutchison Whampoa (Three). It consolidated its UK credentials and capabilities with the acquisition of AVR, a Berkshire-based cyber and cloud security services provider, in May 2021.

New hires will also include apprentices, as the company is launching a UK apprenticeship programme in 2022 to encourage more young people into careers in IT and security.

CWSI has recently joined the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA), an ecosystem of independent software vendors and MSSPs that have integrated their solutions with Microsoft security products.

Elsewhere, to meet customer demand, CWSI is extending its solution capability in Endpoint Detection and Response through a new partnership with cybersecurity platform SentinelOne.

“On the back of a successful year for CWSI, we are delighted to announce this significant investment into our people, platforms and partnerships,” said Ronan Murphy, CEO, CWSI (pictured).

“The UK is central to our growth plans, and following the successful integration of AVR, is expected to contribute 65 per cent of annualised group revenues this year. Our longer-term vision is to become a pan-European leader in modern security through a combination of organic growth and M&A activity.”
