IP Emphasis Grows for Nimans

Nimans is reporting an enthusiastic response to the launch of a new version of Panasonic’s highly successful Network Communication Platform, the KX-NCP - which represents further evidence of a shift from traditional PBX technologies to IP platforms.

“Version 2.0 is the next step forward for the popular NCP unified comms solution,” said Nimans’ Panasonic Business Manager, Julie Greaves. “I would say sales of the NCP are now neck and neck with our traditional Panasonic PBX systems which will soon be overtaken by this latest enhanced system.”

Highly modular and designed to improve business communications workflow, the NCP enables businesses to effectively reach, serve and retain their own customers, according to Julie.

Key features and benefits of v2.0 include advanced IP extensions, as well as standard SIP phones, and also greater support for remote workers with IP phones, softphones, PDA’s and mobile devices. In addition mobile phones can be used as office extensions whilst wireless branch locations can be quickly set-up using the latest DECT over IP technology. The improved NCP also supports new hardware such as an IP cell station and two of the latest DECT phones.

Julie added: “Equally important is the development of a built-in upgraded Communication Assistant application suite which makes it compatible with Panasonic’s TDE product range.”

She concluded: “The NCP has been a great success story and the new functionality will only increase its growing popularity. The latest sales trends at Nimans clearly indicate that IP is the future of telecommunication with the NCP remaining at the forefront of these developments. We’ve been running a series of nationwide sales workshops to educate resellers about the new platform and these have been a great success with our last event oversubscribed.”
