The Technology Group reports growth as business confidence recovers

Leeds based communications provider The Technology Group has seen 27% growth in users of its core platform in the last four months.

Despite a challenging start to the lockdown period, the telephony firm has added over 4,000 new users in the last quarter, taking the total number of users of its 3CX managed service unified communications platform to in excess of 20,000 users globally.

Deals won during this time include some of the biggest in the company’s history, and have expanded the firm’s overseas client footprint from 27 to 29 countries. New countries include Switzerland and the Philippines.

Jonathan Marsden, CEO, The Technology Group, said, “Without question, it has been an incredibly challenging six months for the business. The early stages of lockdown saw us taking some difficult decisions to protect the business at the height of the storm.

“The new contracts are an extremely encouraging sign of business confidence recovery, and are testament to the way the team has really pulled together to support existing customers and secure new global contracts.

“The free periods offered by many video conferencing platforms are shortly coming to an end, and businesses are seeing a need to turn the short-term fixes they employed initially into something more secure, reliable, permanent and professional, which is where our 3CX Managed Service comes into its own.”

The Technology Group is a £6.5million turnover telephony, mobile, internet and video conferencing services business, headquartered in Leeds with offices in London and Welwyn Garden City. The company has over 900 customers and a client base that includes Sage PLC, Oxford College, Goodman Masson, Rugby School, the NHS and Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.
