TOSHIBA REPORTS INCREASED IP SHIPMENTS

Telephony
Toshiba says it has significantly increased shipments of its IP products by 21.1% from Q4 2011 to Q4 2012. Shipments of its Strata CIX670 telephone system were also up 30%.

“IP continues to entice the mid-range market, as the sector forges ahead with investments in technology which will improve business productivity,” says Daniel Fuller-Smith, Sales Manager for Toshiba in Europe. “These figures are a clear indicator that businesses are embracing IP and Unified Communications where they can establish ROI and an opportunity to improve efficiency.”

With the recently launched IPedge Communication Servers already proving popular with customers who are looking to benefit from the single server approach and full collaboration suite, the company’s latest promotion will further encourage businesses to make the transition to IP with Toshiba. The range of offers available will also allow its partners to present their customers with a reliable, powerful and easy to administer solution at an even more affordable price point.

Mike Smythe, Marketing Director at Capstan Communications, commented, “As the sole UK distributor for Toshiba’s IP Edge platform we have seen renewed interest in the Toshiba range of communications platform following the successful launch of the IPedge at IP Expo last year.

The growth of Toshiba’s IP product range is being driven from a renewed channel focus and understanding that Toshiba is once again offering a compelling end user proposition. We’ve been working hard promoting the new platform and our Reseller partners are enjoying some great margin-boosting offers on this new range, as well as a proven IP platform that offers many advantages over competitors ranges.”
