Yealink Puts Resellers In The Picture

Yealink is set to release an enhanced version of its VP2009 videophone featuring higher quality HD audio, accelerated touch screen response and a host of new business functions.

Set to be launched to UK resellers in October the new VP2009 Elite incorporates major hardware and software upgrades, including a new HD sound box, increased bandwidth and higher capacity Ti Davinci chipset. These have yielded significant improvements in performance and functionality such as a four-fold increase in the speed of response of its seven inch TFT-LCD touch screen.

Offering Broadsoft compatibility it also offers a range of new business features such as BLF, intercom, three-way conferencing and 20 Direct Station Selection (DSS) keys with status lights. In addition capacity of the CMOS sensor camera has been raised from 300k to 2m. pixels and new applications introduced for video devices such as door-phones and IP cameras.

“The VP2009 Elite represents a step leap forward with major improvements in performance, function and application,” commented Yealink UK’s managing director, Andrew Roberts. “Voice quality is significantly enhanced, the touch screen is lightning fast and with the combination of additional functionality and Broadsoft compatibility it presents a compelling choice for UK businesses. For many high definition face-to-face collaboration has finally become an affordable reality rather than merely an aspirational concept.”

He added that the launch of the new model would further underline the company’s positioning in the channel as the premium yet affordable VoIP brand. “Despite a raft of improvements the Elite will carry exactly the same list price as its predecessor which itself was priced at less than half the cost of a comparable leading brand model.”

This will see the VP2009 Elite carrying a standard list price of just £283.50 (ex-VAT).
