iReach analysts attributes the increased spend in part to the growing stable of rich content available from operators such as O2 and Vodafone.
The firm’s iPredict2006 survey also revealed an increased demand for 3G among both consumers and businesses, following 3’s entrance into the market. The study found that 9% of respondents in the 17 to 25 age group have 3G phones, but a further 19% intend to go 3G within the next six months.
