Nokia is going into upmarket retail, with plans for several ‘Flagship Stores’ in “shopping capitals of the world.” The first has opened in Moscow, promising to “inspire and educate consumers to the benefits of mobilityand broaden the appeal of the Nokia brand”.
The stores, which “will be unlike anything consumers looking for a mobile phone have ever experienced”, will be sited in the very best retail locations worldwide; Nokia isn’t saying where they are, but the principal Western capital cities would seem logical candidates.
