have launched a competition to find the Cameraphone Photographer of the Year 2006. Photographers of all abilities are being encouraged to use their mobile handsets to capture “images that would be worthy of gracing
the pages of a top UK newspaper” in one of three categories: Sport, Current Affairs and Landscape/Environment. Send the pics via MMS to 07834 885 058 and they’ll be uploaded to www.timesonline.co.uk.
A weekly winner will get a Sony Ericsson K800i, a monthly winner will have their image printed in the pages of The Times T2 supplement, and at the end of the year winners’ photographs will be displayed at a top London gallery for “a panel of credible and influential judges” to decide on the overall winner.
