Sony Ericsson have just launched the Z558, a clamshell with a difference; touchscreen. The touch sensitive display will feature character recognition for what Sony have dubbed ‘one-touch’ text messaging.
The Z558, Sony’s first non-Symbian based handset to offer a touch screen and a stylus, is otherwise a bog standard clamshell.
It features a bright 262k color touch screen and a 1.3 Megapixel camera. It also features 18MB of memory expandable to 1GB and an FM radio. The phone comes in a combination of brushed metal and high gloss material, which makes it look quite smart.
