Aastra has appointed CT3 as Ireland distributor for the Aastra range of IP Phones for Microsoft Lync and the Aastra SIP handset range.
Aastra’s 6725ip and 6721ip phones developed for Microsoft Lync are the latest additions to their range of IP phones. Embedded in the hardware design of the Aastra 6721ip and 6725ip phones is the Microsoft Lync 2010 Phone Edition, offering integration to Microsoft’s Lync Server 2010. This combination provides for a full Lync feature set including simplified installation, management and configuration. Both IP phone models can be used independently from a PC with ‘always on’ operation.
Both phones offer dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, power over Ethernet and ‘HD’ voice quality communications. The Aastra 6725ip also offers ‘Better Together’ working when connected to the Microsoft Lync PC client.
Commenting on the new distribution agreement, Alan Reeve, Managing Director, Aastra UK & Ireland stated, “Our goal is to broaden and deepen Aastra’s route to market and this new agreement with CT3 helps us achieve that in Ireland. The Aastra Lync and SIP handset ranges are the most advanced on the market and we have no doubt that CT3’s channel marketing expertise will ensure success in the Irish market.”
For CT3 Justin Owens, Managing director said, “CT3 are delighted to partner with Aastra to deliver their innovative communications products and applications in Ireland. We are seeing large incremental opportunities for both Aastra’s traditional VOIP products and their new, innovative range of Microsoft Lync endpoints in the Irish market place. Aastra’s leading technology coupled with CT3’s expertise in Unified Communications and knowledge of the Irish marketplace will enable our resellers to differentiate themselves and significantly grow their businesses.”
