Alternative Networks hosted FusionLIVE 2013, its inaugural all-client, all-vendor event, last week at the London Film Museum, Covent Garden. The event attracted over 400 delegates made up of Alternative’s clients and prospects.
FusionLIVE is an integral part of Alternative’s commitment to providing an outstanding client experience and has been designed to bring together Alternative’s clients, prospects, supplier/ partners, products, and industry specialists, on one day, and under one roof. The exhibition comprised 22 product and solution stands by Alternative’s partners, at which visitors saw first-hand the latest technology, whilst meeting the product experts.
A diverse schedule of 20 seminars on business-relevant and current topics, ranging from Secure Mobility, Data Centre and Cloud, to Software Defined Networks, ran throughout the day in what was one of the industry’s only independent company events of its kind.
Simon Durrant, Marketing Manager at Virtual1, an Alternative partner commented “We are here to talk about Alternative’s connectivity solutions. We do a lot with them but we are here particularly to tell people how we interoperate with the other providers that are here. We enable Alternatives customers to take a bespoke solution that only Alternative can deliver because of their various partnerships. They go out and select the best of breed and we are basically the fabric to enable it.
We have had some good conversations here. There have been some existing customers that are trying to do more with their network and that is where the benefit will be for them. Existing customers may not be aware of all the services that alternative can provide also. If you take Synapse for example, that’ a good example of how they have their professional services wrapped around everything they do. Customers probably won’t have the opportunity to have everyone with that high level skill set in the same place again like here. The event is really valuable for them.”
“FusionLIVE has been established around what our clients have told us they want to hear and see,” explained Ed Spurrier, Alternative’s CEO. “By bringing each area together in one a single event, clients were able to access individual products and solutions, but more importantly, discover how they work together for their businesses.
“The event drew huge response from our client and prospect bases and was a fitting start to the beginning of Alternative’s new business year,” concluded Ed Spurrier.
