Anglia Telecom First to Complete O2’s Mobilisation Training Programme

The Anglia Telecom sales team has become the first in the industry to complete O2’s Mobilisation Training Programme to increase skill levels to provide a comprehensive

knowledge of O2’s data products and services and enable partners to confidently sell O2’s data solutions with a focus on ‘converged devices.

Recognising the value of the training and the importance of data in the industry, Anglia Telecom has invested heavily to complete the programme with the final stage taking place at Ipswich Town Football Club over a two day period, ending with individual assessments. This investment was made with the objective of the Anglia Telecom team cementing their knowledge of O2’s data solutions and in turn providing the right level of support to their dealer partners.

Dave McGinn, Managing Director – Anglia Telecom comments, “We wanted to ensure all our relevant ‘touch points’ are totally up to speed and data conversant. That includes everyone from all our Dealer Account Managers, Sales Support and our Connections staff. After all, would you really go to a dentist that wasn’t qualified? So why go to a distributor for data that hasn’t completed an accredited training programme?”

McGrinn adds, “Dealers really now have to look for other revenue streams other than voice, and data is just the first message that the networks are pushing. The Redstone portfolio of products that we’re able to offer to dealers at Anglia Telecom, in addition to ‘voice and beyond’, also includes business desktop support for PC, fixed line, VoIP, IP networks/converged solutions and storage area networks – the full product set, and it’s the way the industry is heading. And we believe we’re the only distributor that can offer all of this.”

Roy Abbott, National Sales Manager at Anglia adds, “The team went into this training with totally different input levels. Louise Neale from O2 has done a superb job in getting us all up to a level where we’ve all passed the assessment and now have a ‘qualified’ knowledge on data.”
