Azlan has signed a pan-European distribution agreement with Veritas Technologies Corporation LLC, giving value-added resellers across the region the opportunity to offer the newly-independent company’s backup and data protection solutions to their customers.
Veritas Technologies Corporation LLC is the new name for the company that has been formed following the completion of the previously announced separation of Symantec into two companies. Effective immediately, software solutions from Veritas will be available from Tech Data in 13 countries across Europe.
The agreement will enable resellers to take advantage of extensive value-added services offered by Azlan in taking Veritas’ advanced solutions to market, including sales acceleration services, such as Azlan’s connected Business Solution Centres for end-user customer briefings and demonstrations, Azlan value marketing for collaborative demand generation, sales and technical training, and professional services.
In addition, Veritas SaaS will be offered through Tech Data Cloud, enabling resellers and service providers to offer Veritas solutions as part of a hosted or hybrid infrastructure propositions.
Simon England, senior vice president, Value Added Business, and managing director, Azlan Europe, said: “This is a very exciting development for Azlan and for Veritas reseller partners. Veritas is an iconic brand that is synonymous with world-class software products and innovation. It is a name that end-user customers trust and presents very significant growth potential to reseller partners in all sectors of the market. In Backup Exec and NetBackup, Veritas has some of the very best-known and most respected product lines in the industry, while Veritas information management products enable organisations to ensure availability, gain insight and harness the power of information.
“These solutions both complement and extend Azlan’s solution stack in storage availability and management and enable our customers to get end-to-end, world-class solutions from Veritas in combination with Azlan’s ecosystem partners, spanning SMB to enterprise. We will be working with Veritas to build on and enhance the company’s reputation and develop and grow its partner sales.”
Commenting on behalf of Veritas, Gareth Hansford, vice president, Channels EMEA, said: “We are pleased to announce Azlan as a distribution partner for the new Veritas in Europe. With its extensive reach and capabilities, Azlan is well positioned to meet the needs of our partners and work with Veritas in successfully executing our growth and development plans across the region.”
