Matrix42 has announced that Oliver Bendig has been appointed Chief Technology Officer. Bendig will oversee a newly merged Product Development and Product Management department. These changes are designed to effectively position Matrix42 for the mobile and cloud era, while also helping the company cope with the increasing speed and complexity of technology cycles as well as the rising expectations of customers with regard to IT workspace management.
“The appointment of Oliver Bendig to CTO will infuse both the Product Management and Product Development departments with even more energy and vitality,” says Jochen Jaser, CEO of Matrix42. “A dynamic Product Management team and a strong Product Development department work closely together. They are of critical importance to our customers and to the future of countless software providers. Bendig has years of experience in the field of workspace management. He has just the right combination of strategic and technological skills, making him ideally suited to the tasks he will be performing as CTO.”
For over four years, Bendig has managed the Product Management department at Matrix42. Together with his team, he developed the Matrix42 product portfolio, which was named by analysts at Gartner and the Experton Group as one of the most innovative solutions in the workspace management market. Prior to this, he was responsible for Product Management at Enteo, Centennial Software, and FrontRange Solutions.
“In the mobile and cloud era, the requirements regarding IT workspace management have become extremely complex. To ensure that we are able to provide customers with the best possible workspace management solution, it is crucial for us to work quickly and effectively to develop products that enable Matrix42 to achieve its vision of simple and intelligent workspace management in a multi-device working environment,” says Oliver Bendig.
Bendig will lead the product strategy, roadmap and development of the entire Matrix42 product portfolio. Bendig’s dynamic team of just under 80 developers, product managers, architects, and quality engineers are now in a position to meet customer needs faster and at a higher level of quality than ever before.
“Oliver Bendig’s excellent knowledge of the market and his strong desire to discover what the customer needs and develop the solutions to match this are valuable assets. COO Michael Schmidt and I are very pleased about his appointment to the position of CTO,” adds Jaser.
