Daisy Wholesale has started the New Year with a proverbial ‘spring in its step’ with the appointment of popular channel figure Lee Broxson.
Lee formally took office with the business yesterday, taking on the newly established role of Product Director for Data.
Highly respected in the telecoms industry, with a career now spanning 18 years, Lee is best known for a decade in which he carved out a name for himself working for internet service providers, predominantly selling into the telecommunications channel.
For the last 13 years Lee worked at Griffin, eventually becoming Head of sales where he was responsible for the business’ entire sales function, driving sales into more than 700 channel partners with his focus very much around Ethernet.
In his role at Daisy, Lee will be responsible for developing the growing data portfolio, working with both the sales and marketing teams and taking the proposition to the existing and prospect reseller community, maximising potential through the penetration of data in to their customer bases.
Terry O’Brien, Managing Director for Daisy Wholesale, has described Lee’s appointment as real accomplishment for the business, with his arrival a statement of intent for the ambitions of the business, not just in the year ahead, but for the long term.
“Lee has enormous credibility with the channel and working with internet service providers he is very well liked and recognised as a leader in his field,” said Terry.
“Lee joining my team shows that Daisy Wholesale is attracting the very best calibre people to join our mission to help the channel own SME, providing all our partners with access to a full range of Telecoms and IT services backed up with the best people to support them.”
Joining the business, Lee Broxson, said: “I am really excited to be joining Daisy Wholesale at such an exciting point in its history – they are investing in the business for the future and building it to be fit for the channel of the future.
“The business has developed a great portfolio across the major carriers and networks and provides the full range of products for partners’ ongoing needs. I know I can help them take the opportunities that are now associated with data, an exciting growth area for us and our partners.
“Over the last decade I have built up a wealth of experience and knowledge in many aspects of the industry, from carriers through to wholesale, and I am looking forward to working with Terry and the team to utilise this experience to develop and grow our partners’ businesses.
“With the prospect of working with Terry and his growing team, a team completely dedicated to the channel, the decision to join Daisy Wholesale was an easy one.”
