Chess Play their Part for the Prince’s Trust

Alderley Edge based Chess have already been busy this year raising money for the Prince’s Trust.

Volunteers from Chess recently helped renovate the Bridgend Centre, a community hub for the people of Bollington and organised a week-long car wash to raise money for the hub to buy vital resources.

David Pollock, Chief Executive, commented, “Our people’s passion, energy and enthusiasm to support the Prince’s Trust is great. Month after month we get involved in projects to help better the lives of young people who haven’t been as lucky as the rest of us. Our people voted us in as one of the UK’s Best Companies and a large part of that is due to the charitable commitments and encouragement we give our people to get involved with the Prince’s Trust.”

Anne Binnie, HR Director at Chess stated, “We’ve built a strong relationship with the Prince’s Trust and now offer their people work experience placements with us. We have the talent, knowledge, skill and experience here at Chess to help these young people learn valuable work-life skills that they can use to their advantage once they’ve finished their time with us.

Chess’ next big fundraiser will be the Manchester 10K, where 28 of their people are running in aid of the East Cheshire Hospice, raising funds in memory of Julie Wright, Operations Director at Chess who passed away on 13th February, who spent her last few days being cared for at the hospice.
