Integrated communications provider Communicate Better has further expanded its business by the acquisition of Hull based TTS Communications Limited for an undisclosed sum. It is the second acquisition by the company this year, as they look to double their turnover for the third year running.
The purchase of the Humberside based Telecommunications provider offers Communicate Better the opportunity to enhance its geographical coverage across East Yorkshire and Humberside, as well the chance to provide enhanced service offerings to the existing customer base.
TTS will become part of the Communicate Better group, but will continue to operate under the TTS Communications name, with all management and employees remaining in position to ensure continuity of service. The newly enhanced company will now be able to supply a wider range of mobile, IT and vehicle telematics services to the TTS Communications customer base.
Wayne Cartwright, CEO of Communicate Better, commented “The acquisition further consolidates our position as a leading provider of converged solutions and spreads our reach across the north of England. The acquisition represents a 10% increase in our turnover, with the potential to grow the business substantially. We are looking at a couple more acquisition targets and hope to complete a further purchase before the end of the year, which will significantly contribute to our year on year growth figures.
The acquisition comes after Communicate Better scooped the prestigious accolade of Reseller of the Year at the Comms Business Awards a fortnight ago, for an unprecedented second year running. The company is again aiming to double its turnover for the third consecutive year via its combined strategy of acquisition and organic growth.
Communicate Better were advised by Keith Kennedy of Berg Legal and Ian Johnson of Cowgill Holloway LLP.
Ian Johnson, Corporate Finance Partner, who led the Cowgill Holloway advisory team, commented: “We have assisted Communicate Better in its buy and build strategy for a number of years, which has resulted in the group becoming a leading business communications supplier. This latest acquisition of TTS Communications Limited will be an excellent addition to the Communicate Better Group, and I am delighted that the business will be able to benefit from the opportunities which the acquisition brings going forward. The acquisition will further broaden Communicate Better’s scope of services and existing presence across the UK.”
Keith Kennedy, Corporate Partner at Berg Solicitors commented: “We are delighted to have helped Communicate Better with its latest acquisition and look forward to continuing to help the Group build on the success of its recent prestigious Comms Business Award”.
