Daisy Wholesale staff get the chop

MSPs
Brave team members at Daisy Wholesale shaved their heads on 12th December to raise money for Cancer Research and Alopecia UK. A local hairdresser visited their offices in Chandler’s Ford to do the honours.

Six staff members at Daisy Wholesale faced the razor to raise money for charities close to the hearts of many. One of the courageous employees said, “I chose to support Cancer Research as I lost one of my best friends in June to blood cancer, portal vein thrombosis and cirrhosis of the liver. She passed away after having 2 failed liver transplants. I also lost a family member a few weeks ago due to cervical cancer.”

A Virgin Money Giving page has been set up to take donations. The funds raised will also be donated to Alopecia UK. Alopecia affects millions of people worldwide, and yet medical professionals don’t know much about it. It is unpredictable as it displays on everyone differently, from a tiny patch missing to complete hair loss all over the body, and can last for any amount of time. It is currently incurable and Alopecia UK are doing a lot to fund research into the condition.

Terry O’Brien, MD at Daisy Wholesale said of the act, “It’s fantastic to see our team come together to support such important, deserving causes. I’m proud to be part of such a passionate team that aims to succeed in everything they do, so we hope this, too, is a success and we can raise as much money as possible.”
