Tech Data and Microsoft are working together to make it easier for resellers to win education business, launching an e-guide to showcase Microsoft technologies for the sector and an incentive scheme that will gives schools the chance to win a class trip.

The Microsoft EduWins campaign is structured around three simple ‘lessons’ from Microsoft on education solutions, covering Better Learning Outcomes, Safety and Security, and Simplified Deployment and Management. Tech Data and Microsoft will be running three webinars, covering each of these themes and the campaign as a whole during November and December.

The e-Guide has been produced by Tech Data and focuses on how Microsoft software can be used in harness with powerful, affordable devices from leading hardware vendors, including Acer, Asus, Dell, Fujitsu and HP, to empower students and teachers to achieve more. It covers each of the three Microsoft ‘lessons’ in turn and is available for partners to download from www.techdata.co.uk/education-storybook.

The incentive enables partners to give their local schools the chance to win a class trip. Microsoft will then work with the winner to make them a Showcase School and Tech Data will create a case study, which can then be used by the school in its own promotional activity.

Microsoft Showcase Schools are a global community of schools engaged in digital transformation to improve teaching and learning. They are marked out as schools that create immersive and inclusive experiences that inspire lifelong learning, stimulating development of essential skills so students are empowered to achieve more. Microsoft supports the Showcase Schools with a range of communications, activities and resources.

Partners can register for the campaign at www.techdata.co.uk/education-asset-kit. They will then receive a marketing asset pack, which they can use to communicate the benefits of using Microsoft technology in the classroom, and to promote the incentive scheme. The asset pack provided by Tech Data includes an end-user-friendly email on the competition and a set of web banners.

“The EduWins campaign makes it easy for partners to communicate the benefits of Microsoft technologies and solutions”, said Kirsty Guy, Public Sector Marketing Manager at Tech Data. “It uses simple language and clear messages and we’re convinced it’s going to have a really positive impact. We want to get as many resellers as possible to attend the ‘Easy Peasy’ webinars to help them run their own campaigns targeting schools in their area.”
