Easynet Global Services start financial year with sustained success and new opportunities

To mark the start of a new financial year, Easynet Global Services is announcing a raft of major customer wins

The managed network, hosting and telepresence company has won significant international business from organisations such as EDF, Sports Direct, Seves, SAGE, the Bridgestone Corporation and Vollers. This is in addition to re-signing contracts with companies like Yakult, Ambassador Theatre Group and Via Michelin, demonstrating the results of outstanding managed services combined with convincing service excellence.

Denis Planat, Chief Operating Officer for Easynet Global Services, said: “Passion and professionalism, trust and transparency are inherent to our people, and everyone works really hard to provide service excellence for our customers. Despite the challenges that have faced all businesses this year, Easynet Global Services has continually enabled customers to be smarter through an in-depth understanding of their business; ensuring that they are moving in the right direction, not every direction. These international sales wins are the best evidence of our values - a result of our continued focus on service excellence.”

Based in Belgium, Sports Direct, an international retail chain selling sporting goods and leisure apparel, is now working with Easynet. In order to secure the partnership, Easynet had to meet a number of important requirements in its service provision, including European coverage, flexibility for future expansion, and a single point of contact for managing the entire network. As a result Easynet will now implement a managed Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) network connecting 430 shops in Europe, an approach which enables Sports Direct outlets and offices within the network to exchange information quickly and safely.

Also based in the Benelux region, Bridgestone Corporation, the biggest tire and rubber manufacturer in the world, present in more than 150 nations, have signed a 5 year contract with Easynet for their European WAN requirements. Due to the diversity and spread of the network, Easynet and Bridgestone worked hand in hand to develop the most optimal solution to fit Bridgestone’s requirements and needs. Easynet will be responsible for the managed bespoke MPLS network of 70 backbone sites across 20 countries and the managed MPLS network of 326 Retail Sites across 7 countries.

In the Italian market, Seves is yet another market leader who is developing a relationship with Easynet. As the world's foremost manufacturer in two niche markets, electric insulation for electricity generation, transport and distribution and glass blocks for architectural and interior design applications, Seves assigned Easynet to implement a global managed solution including disaster recovery and a multi-national MPLS network to connect sites in Italy, France, Spain, Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic and China.

Berthold Vollers, a leading logistics company, is another new Easynet customer. Based in Germany, the Vollers Group has assigned Easynet to connect 17 of their sites in Germany, Riga, Tallin, Belgium and Holland via a fully managed network.

Also based in Germany, Hein Gericke, a European-wide manufacturer and retailer of motorcycle clothing, motorcycle technology and motorcycle accessories assigned Easynet to connect 58 locations in Germany, 45 locations in UK, 9 in Austria, 5 in Belgium, 3 in the Netherlands, 1 in Italy and 1 in Luxembourg via a fully managed MPLS VPN. Easynet will also provide an internet gateway and remote user access for the Hein Gericke’s mobile users.

Further, in Switzerland, Qnective, a developer of innovative IP based voice and data services, assigned Easynet to operate its software platform Qtalk. Via Easynet’s Managed Hosting Solution, Qnective can avoid building up own server capacities and is able to roll-out its services in less time to a range of international customers.

Another new customer win is Spanish-based Sage, the company leader in business management solutions, who have appointed Easynet to provide managed hosting services in Madrid and Barcelona as well as high internet access capacity.

For legal firm Berrymans Lace Mawer, Easynet’s superior professional services and managed hosting experience led to their appointment in the UK where they will be working on a network of eight sites throughout the country.

Denis Planat adds "It has been a challenging year for every business but these new customer wins are a result of our focus on delivering superb customer service and continued strong growth. In the next year we look forward to working closely together with all our customers to give them the right business communication tools to help grow their business faster.

Finally, helping customers with collaboration, productivity and effective decision making, Easynet’s Managed Virtual Meetings has won new deals with EDF from France as well as Arqiva and NDS from the
