Executel Scoops TSG Double Whammy

Gateshead-based reseller, Executel, has extended its reach outside the North East with two lucrative contracts for leading IT services provider, Technology Services Group (TSG).

In a bid to standardise communications across all 18 of its regional sites, TSG has called upon the expertise of Executel to install the very latest Voice over IP (Internet Protocol) technology in its Basingstoke and Manchester operations.

Representing a combined investment of around £35,000, the installations come just months after Executel successfully broke into the Scottish telecoms market with a contract for TSG Scotland in Edinburgh as well as equipping the company’s North East regional headquarters on Team Valley in Gateshead.

Of the double contract win, Michael O’Sullivan, account manager for Executel, said: “TSG is rapidly expanding its operations across the UK and we are both honoured and delighted to be contributing to its continued business growth – long may it continue.

“We have a strong reputation in the North East telecoms market and TSG is now helping us to spread our wings and extend our reach to other areas of the country.”

Established in 2003 by Sage co-founder Graham Wylie, TSG now employs 500 staff across the UK, boasts an annual turnover in excess of £44m and provides IT solutions and services to more than 11,000 SMEs nationwide.

Business support manager for TSG, Michelle Barwick, added: “Our continued growth over the past year means that having the right telecoms solution in place is essential. We now have 18 regional sites and with more offices likely as our growth continues, we need the flexibility to add new locations to our communications system both quickly and easily.

“Executel has provided us with a complete service which covers handsets and office reception equipment, as well as call routing to ensure we achieve the lowest call costs.

“Having worked with Executel on a number of projects in the past 12 months, we continue to be extremely impressed with their efficiency and excellent project management skills.”

Executel is currently the North East’s premier supplier of cutting-edge telecoms solutions with an extensive portfolio of over 1,500 clients. Having seen sales soar to record levels in 2005, Executel is on target to reach turnover of £6m this year with a longer-term plan to hit the £10m mark by 2009.
