The latest changes outlined by Ofcom will mean that from 1st August, all 0870 numbers will no longer be based on a revenue share model and instead the owners of 0870 numbers will have to pay a call delivery charge. This represents an important opportunity for businesses to review their telecoms strategy and gives resellers a reason to talk their customers.
Gamma’s workshops highlighted what market opportunities exist and how their channel partners should be capturing them. The sessions focussed heavily on examples of quick win campaigns that could be used to help stimulate action from customers and generate new revenues for resellers. The carrier also demonstrated how campaigns could be put together where replacement 0870 numbers are sold with Gamma’s Inbound solution, thereby extending the margin opportunities for resellers.

Partners keen to grasp the 0870 opportunity were given a marketing pack after the workshops that included marketing material artwork, telemarketing scripts + call centre “advice”, campaign ideas and other Inbound support tools to help them with their campaigns.
