Research firm Swan Independent Research recently conducted a market survey to establish which were the favoured magazines and exhibitions amongst Channel companies. The survey entitled “Convergence Channel Media Survey – UK” asked ten questions relating to the publications and trade exhibitions serving the market place.
Of the 151 respondents that completed the questionaire, 48% chose Comms Business as the most up to date magazine with channel news. The second place title received just 17% of the vote. 38% stated that they thought Comms Business wrote the most informative articles and of those, 79% also thought that they had the best style format and design. 49% said they would rather read a printed version of a magazine with 34% preferring electronic; the rest didn’t complete the question.
When asked who they rated as the market leader 46% said Comms Business and the next highest ranking title received just 16% of the vote.
When asked what exhibitions they would be attending this year Convergence Summit South came out on top with 39% of the respondents saying they would be attending and listed the companies that will be exhibiting as the most important element of the event with networking coming second.
According to the survey participants Comms Business also has the most informative and functional web site with 25% voting it number one!
