Inter-Tel has announced the launch of the Inter-Tel 5000 version 2.0 software. The upgraded software now comes as standard with the Inter-Tel 5000 group of products, which are designed for small to medium sized enterprises. The upgrade will allow both new and existing users of Inter-Tel 5000 IP based communications systems to increase their IP capacity with just a software change.
The Inter-Tel 5000 group of products are designed to deliver IP communications to SMEs in a cost-effective way and offers users both a scalable and easy to manage communications environment.
Chris Harris, managing director EMEA at Inter-Tel, said: “Version 2.0 of the Inter-Tel 5000 software offers great flexibility for SMEs. It will provide users with a way to boost the capacity of their existing system and an ability to expand their communications capabilities in line with their business.
Depending on configuration, the Inter-Tel 5000 Version 2.0 software can significantly increase the number of endpoints that can be installed. For example the updated software can support 75 IP endpoints on the CS-5200 series and up to as many as 175 IP endpoints on the CS-5400. In addition to the IP expansion, the new software also provides increased support for analogue endpoints.
Chris Harris continues: “IP is continuously being used as a way to improve the overall cost-effectiveness of today’s communications. Software upgrades such as Version 2.0 can deliver benefits that businesses can appreciate, such as per seat cost reduction, while delivering the benefits of advanced Voice over IP applications.”
