IPsoft today announced that it has appointed Crosbie Burns as its new UK Managing Director. Crosbie, who has over 20 years in the IT industry, will build on IPsoft’s existing client base and lead the continued creation of strategic partnerships.
“We are entering a perfect storm where the labour arbitrage approach to cost reduction is burnt out and IT providers need to find smarter ways to improve service and reduce costs,” said Crosbie Burns, UK MD, IPsoft. “The only viable approach to this is introducing technology to manage technology by using automation. There are few, if any, other vendors positioned to deliver the end to end task automation and expert systems that IPsoft can provide. This is why I’m extremely excited to be working with the UK team to create a position of market dominance for our solutions.”
Prior to joining IPsoft, Crosbie was responsible for establishing business in EMEA for ServiceSource. Previously, he also held the Vice President and UK MD positions at PeopleSoft, where he was responsible for the successful integration of J.D. Edwards, an ERP software business, into the company in 2003.
Commenting on the appointment, Chetan Dube, CEO of IPsoft, said: “The IT outsourcing market is currently going through a paradigm shift, and given Crosbie’s history in building world class teams and his strong partnership approach to doing business, I am confident that he is the right person to take advantage of this and execute our Go-To-Market strategy to deliver exponential growth in the region.”
