Iridiacom Launch New Product Range in the UK

Iridiacom, the Hertfordshire based VoIP Distributor recently held their fifth Dealer Day at Pendley Manor in Tring. The company showed a range of new products from the MKC Networks 7000 ICS Enterprise SIP Application server, new VoIP and GSM gateways from Boscom and a legacy SIP handset gateway from Citel.

There was a number of guest speakers in attendance, Ben Morris Sales and Marketing Manager flew in from Ottawa, Canada specifically to launch the MKC 7000 ICS also in attendance was Shalom Amsalem from Boscom who was updating the resellers on new VoIP and GSM gateways. Citel Technologies sent Rebbeca O’Neill VP International Sales to talk about the Citel Link gateways that enable new technology such as the MKC 7000 to make use of legacy hardware such as TDM based keyphones from manufacturers such as Nortel, Avaya, NEC, Panasonic etc.

The day was not all ‘death by powerpoint’ as the afternoon was filled with activities such as Honda Pilot Buggy driving, Laser clay pigeon shooting and ‘power turn buggies’ that are small two seater buggies where the only steering is by accelerating or braking with the back wheels, the wheelies had to be seen to be believed!

Alan Doyle MD of Iridiacom commented ‘We were very pleased with the attendance and the portfolio of next generation VoIP products were very well received, in fact we had so much interest surrounding the product demonstrations that we had to delay the afternoon activities so that everyone could have a closer look. This new range of product will allow our resellers to enter new markets where VoIP functionality is important, many manufacturers are talking about this but quite simply with this launch we are now capable of delivering it’

The MKC 7000 ICS is a next generation SIP Application Server and has been developed by MKC Networks from Ottawa Canada who are funded by Terry Matthews who is also Chairman of Mitel Networks. The product is built on a stable Linux platform and includes as standard voicemail, Microsoft Outlook Integration, IVR, auto attendant and a powerful conference server.

Ben Morris from MKC Networks said ‘We specifically chose Iridiacom as our UK distributor because of their knowledge in the VoIP market but we also saw that they had a vision to produce a solution using best of breed products from manufacturers such as Boscom and Citel and we are very pleased to be a key part of the product offering. I can honestly say I have never seen such interest from resellers and during the product demonstrations I was continually surrounded even to the extent that some resellers came back after the fun events for another look’

Iridiacom will now be running sales and technical training for all the new products launched.
