Kcom Group PLC has announced that it has brought together activities from two of its business divisions – Affiniti, its managed communications business, and Kingston Communications (outside Hull and East Yorkshire) – to form a new business, under the name Kcom.
The new Kcom business leverages Affiniti’s core expertise in managing complex communication infrastructures and applications, and Kingston Communications’ proven credentials in connectivity and hosting. It will provide a wide range of leading edge communication services with a commitment to delivering a different class of service to its customers.
The Kcom Group’s existing partnership with BT, which was announced in June this year, strengthens the Group’s communications services capability. It provides Kcom with the scope to deliver a full suite of next generation products and services and helps support its business strategy to deliver high-value services with recurring, sustainable revenues. With BT managing its network, Kcom can now offer its customers a greater breadth and depth in service choice, and focus on providing an improved customer experience.
Paul Renucci, Managing Director of Kcom, commented: “Our aim in bringing together these activities into one new business is to simplify the Group structure for customers. Kcom can now offer its full set of skills and services to all its business, enterprise and public sector customers, providing them with a broader portfolio of services and a more responsive and collaborative experience. Businesses today are looking for the scale and reliability of a large provider but the flexibility and responsiveness of a smaller provider. We believe Kcom offers the best of both worlds.”
