M247 and ANS sign £1million Data Centre Deal

ANS Group, the IT infrastructure and managed services specialist, has signed a new deal with Manchester based M247 to support its long-term growth plans.

The deal, worth in excess of £1million, will see M247 provide secure data centre accommodation and high capacity network services to ANS.

ANS will take a biometrically-secured colocation ‘cage’ within M247’s newest Trafford Park data centre as well as a range of high-capacity optical connectivity services to interconnect with the existing ANS Cloud backbone. Customers of ANS demand the very highest levels of security and service availability, so M247’s recent accreditation to the stringent ISO 27001 Information Security Management standard was instrumental in securing the order. M247 operate two of the most energy-efficient data centres in Europe, allowing ANS to reduce the carbon-footprint of their hosted services and therefore significantly reducing the environmental impact of their client’s IT operations.

Data security is vital to every company in the connected world and during recent visits to the M247 data centres by members of the ANS team, the M247 security practices were put under rigorous testing and found to be very impressive. Phase 1 of the new Manchester data centre opened recently by M247, is already a quarter full with new customer growth. M247 has significantly expanded its 24/7 technical support workforce to cope with increased demand and the company has recently moved its Midlands regional office to larger premises in Kidderminster.
