Mainline winners head for India’s Golden Triangle

Orange distributor, Mainline Digital Communications, has announced the five winners of its latest Colours of India incentive are being sent on an all expenses paid cultural trip around India’s Golden Triangle, through Delhi, Agra and Jaipur.

The competition, co-sponsored by Nokia and Orange, is Mainline’s biggest and most successful incentive to date, the company claimed.

The five winners, Dave Carter from Geko Direct, Jim Rock from Direct Telecoms, Nick Lea from Fone Solutions, Kevin Hill from Corporate Mobile Connections and Richard Brindley from Albion Business Communications, beat off stiff competition from over 200 dealers.

The three month incentive, which ran between July and September this year, involved dealers competing in three leagues to meet challenging sales targets and score the most points. The contest went down to the wire, as dealers took every opportunity to add additional points through special promotions offered by Nokia and Mainline.

Winner Kevin Hill from Corporate Mobile Connections, said: “We’ve only been working with Mainline for a few months and it’s great to have already won a first class prize. I can’t wait until next year’s incentive!”

Sales of Nokia handsets increased significantly as Mainline dealers were encouraged to expand their sales revenues and boost their Orange business.

Mainline’s managing director Andrew Boden, said: “The trip is a reward for all the hard work the dealers have put in over the last three months. Considering the current economic climate, it’s great that the winners have managed to exceed the high sales targets.

“I would like to thank all the dealers that have participated in the incentive. There has been a clear increase in new connections,” he added.

The winners will jet off on the grand trip in November, to experience the enchanting and cultural India, visiting famous sites such as the Taj Mahal, the Amber fort and New Delhi. Planned events include a private elephant polo match, an afternoon of cricket and a grand royal procession in Jaipur.
