Mainline Digital Communications has embarked on a six week campaign to enable independent mobile phone dealers nationwide to compete with the multiple retailers this Christmas.
The Orange distributor is helping its dealer customers to match High Street prices and to achieve mark ups reaching almost 80% at the same time, by increasing its commissions on selected PAYG handsets.
Gail Hollinshead, director of dealer sales, said: “We’ve sharpened our pencils to ensure that dealers can compete with the likes of Carphone Warehouse and Argos this Christmas. We’ll also review our PAYG offers on a weekly basis, to ensure our dealers remain competitive throughout the festive period.
“November and December are still huge months for Pay As You Go at Mainline, despite over 90% of our connections in the rest of the year being business connections.”
In addition to the commission increases, Mainline is also offering dealers special rewards for ordering PAYG handsets, including Marks & Spencer vouchers and the opportunity to win up to £100,000 with lottery scratchcards.
“We’re providing dealers with the whole package,” said Hollinshead. “Great products, fantastic deals and prizes that can be used as in-store sales incentives.”
