An international law firm has deployed a new unified communications (UC) solution to ensure its UK and US-based employees can benefit from greater collaboration. Mancini Legal is now using an innovative platform from VIA, the business telephony and communications specialist, to create a truly joined-up yet flexible workforce.
Mancini Legal was looking for a cloud-based UC platform to better connect its team of employees based across its three UK offices in London, Horsham, and Cranleigh, as well as those solicitors operating out of its office in New York City. The firm was utilising an E5 licence for Office 365, which includes hosted email, desktop Office applications for PC and Mac, Skype for Business web conferencing and access to the OneDrive. However, the company wanted to go one step further and install an all encompassing cloud-based solution that would provide the same functionality as E5, but also combined internal and external voice calls (Cloud PBX with PSTN calling), as well as additional features such as call routing and a management portal. Upon seeing the benefits first hand during a demonstration, Mancini Legal opted for VIA Voice.
Incorporating Skype for Business, VIA Voice is a UC platform that completely replaces the need to operate a traditional phone network. It allows employees to talk, instant message, email, video chat and take part in interactive conferences across a variety of devices, such as landlines, smartphones, PCs, and tablets.
VIA Voice has helped Mancini Legal’s team of solicitors to stay continuously connected and reachable regardless of location, when they are on the road or even working from court. This has led to everyday efficiency gains whilst also improving the way the firm conducts client relationships, utilising interactive conferencing and document sharing.
This has been typified by the bespoke call routing solution the firm now operates. As Mancini Legal boasts a wide-range of legal departments, from corporate law to conveyancing and from family law to regulatory investigations, it is extremely important that clients are quickly and reliably directed to the most suitable contact. VIA’s multi-layered routing system has ensured this is the case.
Alessandro Mancini, CEO at Mancini Legal, said: “We are proud to be a forward thinking and progressive law firm, and we like to partner with organisations like VIA who share similar values. We place a lot of emphasis on new technology to enhance operations and therefore we wanted a new cloud-based communications solution that would provide full PBX functionality, as well as additional value-added features to boost collaboration between our offices. VIA Voice has delivered on every level.”
Alex Tebbs, Director at VIA, said: “VIA Voice is the perfect solution for international businesses that need their workforces to collaborate closely despite working hundreds or even thousands of miles apart. We are currently upgrading many businesses that are wanting to reap the benefits of a fully functioning UC platform, whilst also looking to cut costs.”
