Manx Telecom has announced the appointment of Iarla Hughes as Chief Financial Officer and Director of the Board with immediate effect this morning.
Iarla joins from International Aerospace Coatings LLP, where he has been Group Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary for over 3 years. With more than 8 years’ experience in the telecoms industry, Iarla previously held a General Manager position at Cable & Wireless Ireland before becoming Chief Financial Officer at Digicel Turks and Caicos. He spent a number of years in various senior finance roles at Cable and Wireless plc and Vodafone.
While at Caribbean telecoms provider Digicel, Iarla had financial responsibility for the purchase and integration of West Indies Video (WIV), a high-speed broadband and cable TV service in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Gary Lamb, Chief Executive Officer said, “Iarla brings with him extensive experience of leading finance teams in large scale international businesses, as well as on-island telecoms and will be a fantastic addition to the Board and senior management team. I would also like to thank Paul Tierney for his contribution as Interim CFO, which was highly valued by the Board.”
