Converged solutions distributor Micro-P has further strengthened its Communications team with the addition of two new experienced channel sales and marketing personnel.
Matt Teer has joined as Sales Manager for Communications and within the same division the distributor has appointed James Burns as Product Manager. Both are based at the company’s Altham, Lancashire office.
Teer told Comms Business Magazine that his principal task will be to focus on business development and that his team of account managers will be providing help and assistance to resellers wanting to build their convergence based solutions business.
“As well as NEC, Samsung and Cisco systems we have an excellent range of peripheral products including BT and Plantronics brands. After I left Nimans last year I took time out to examine the market place and quickly established that Micro-P was a company going places fast. It was clear they were investing considerable time and resources in to building a great communications distribution business. Convergence is the big message at Micro-P; it’s a huge selling point and we have the whole package for resellers so now is the time for us to become more pro-active in the channel.”
Like Matt Teer, James Burns has also joined Micro-P from rival distributor Nimans where he was Head of Category.
Burns told Comms Business, “At Micro-P I will be managing several product groupings including handsets, headsets, and unified communications with vendors such as BT, Doro and Interquartz and spreading the word both internally and externally about how we can help all of our resellers in their existing or new markets.
Before I joined Micro-P I met with Sales Director Paul Brian and Managing Director Gerry O’Keeffe who were so full of enthusiasm and ambition for the company. In the last eighteen months Micro-P has developed a compelling communications offer for the channel backed up by the skill sets to support resellers own ambitions. We are keen to help channel partners maximise their opportunities by working with us.”
