Alcatel-Lucent has appointed Doug Rodgers as enterprise and corporate sales sector leader for its Enterprise Business Group UK&I. Rodgers will be responsible for identifying new channels and vertical markets, as well as maximising the potential of existing customer relationships, with a view to significantly growing Alcatel-Lucent’s UK enterprise business in the next three years.
Rodgers joined Alcatel-Lucent in 2004 as a key account manager for France Telecom and Orange UK, and is responsible for the company’s key relationship with Thales, which he will retain in his new position. Prior to joining Alcatel-Lucent, Rodgers held senior account management positions at Cable & Wireless and Cisco.
“I’m delighted to take on this new challenge within Alcatel-Lucent, as the company continues to make significant inroads in the UK enterprise marketplace,” said Rodgers. “The key to further growth will be focus – clearly defining the market opportunities and exploring how our core competencies can best exploit them.”
