Telecoms distributor Nimans is one of just two appointed UK distributors of Fusion integrated structured cabling products, after adding a major new weapon to its growing installation armoury. Manchester-based Nimans has become an official stockist of the growing market brand, offering ‘end to end’ installation solutions, from easy to install Cat 5e and Cat 6 cabling to trunking, traditional telephone components and chrome faceplates.
Nimans’ Installation Products Business Manager, Dominique Wilson, says Fusion offers installers many time saving advantages such as snag-free cabling, anti-tear boxes and Eurostyle modules – all backed by an impressive 25-year warranty.
Nimans is the only distributor to offer Fusion as part of an extensive telecoms portfolio, as Dominique pointed out: “Fusion cable is metre marked and is designed to be snag free and to strip easily – all at a competitive price, enabling installers to minimise their overheads, whilst offering their clients a premium quality product. There are various cable colours available as well as low smoke, shielded, external and stranded varieties.”
Dominique says Fusion has evolved following two years market research and is based on products designed by installers for installers. It embraces installers’ demands for ease of installation and provides a time saving, cost effective solution without compromising quality, durability or performance.
“Fusion cabling is renowned for its quality throughout the manufacturing process. Innovative anti-tear cable boxes feature double thickness cardboard and plastic reinforced handles. Many cable boxes struggle in real life situations, for example, being loaded and unloaded from the van a few times, taken up flights of stairs and stacked on top of each other. Pick up a box of cable and the handle rips with some brands. Stack a few boxes and the lower ones collapse. It’s a story installers know only too well but they don’t have to put up with it any longer,” she explained.
Other time saving features include the Eurostyle modules which are packed in easy-access bulk boxes of ten, eliminating installers’ guesswork as to how many modules there are in a pile of polybags on site.
As part of a lengthy development process, Fusion talked in-depth to installers to understand how they work and how to save time on site. In addition, Nimans conducted its own market trials before taking the brand on board. Dominique emphasised: “Fusion offers an end-to-end solution which our customers embraced enthusiastically. During extensive product trials they appreciated the time saving benefits as well as the supreme quality.
“Fusion offers exceptional quality at a very competitive price. It is a new, dynamic and growing brand which we are confident will rapidly establish itself as a key component in our expanding installation portfolio, complementing many other leading industry names.”
Paul Britain, Business Manager for Fusion is equally enthusiastic about the announcement. “Nimans is a leading distributor in our industry and we are delighted to announce their appointment as an official Fusion distributor. This means that Fusion products are now available to Nimans’ extensive customer base, complementing perfectly our existing distribution arrangements.”
Nimans has installed a purpose built display unit in the Trade Counter at its flagship headquarters to showcase the comprehensive Fusion product range.
