Comms supplier Nimans has become a true solution-based sales specialist. The company’s Systems Sales team has been renamed Solutions Sales, reflecting how the once traditional ‘voice’ equipment supplier continues to move with the times.
As part of the new-look strategy Yvonne Tierney-Neave has moved from her Unify Business Manager role to spearhead NEC sales, as part of a 7-year career at Nimans. Marcus Yates has swapped roles to move in the opposite direction.
Solutions Sales comprises 14 highly skilled professionals across five system brands – spanning Unify, Panasonic, Samsung, NEC and iQ PBX. Each has their own dedicated business development team, offering the highest levels of support, says Head of Category Sales, Paul Burn.
“There’s much more to Nimans than people think,” he emphasised. “Some people still perceive us as just a traditional voice distributor but there’s much more to us than that. We focus on delivering complete end to end solutions – from the planning through to installation and post sales support.
“The rebrand is a flag in the ground and a statement of intent of who we are as a company and most importantly how we serve our customers. Our expertise encompasses much more than just the box on the wall. For example we are developing new areas of activity around WLAN as well as data connectivity and Skype For Business integration – and we also have our own dedicated leasing and network services divisions.”
