Nimans Welcomes New Swyx Improvements

Distributor Nimans says an enhanced version of the Swyx soft PBX system, which is compatible with more mobile handsets, will create an easier sell for dealers.

SwyxWare version 6.20 software works with a new range of system phones and gives customers the possibility to use dual mode mobile phones. SwyxWare supports more than 1,000 varieties of telephone devices giving users the freedom to choose what type of phone suits them best.

“SwyxWare is unique in that it can support a wide range of mobile devices across many different platforms, giving the end user more choice,” says Lynnette Smith, Swyx Business Manager at Nimans. “We are not limiting what handset they can have so mobility can be put out to more people, more easily with more choice. This means they can carry around the features of a telephone system wherever they may be.”

Smith observes: “Not everyone wants the same type of handset. That’s where Swyx fits in; because it is so flexible, it can better fall in line with the requirements of business. You are not having to restrict choice, which makes it an easier sell for dealers.”

She added: “Swyx has always been a very flexible and user friendly system which can now be more tailored to today’s business needs, from a desk phone right the way to being completely mobile. There is complete freedom.

“With traditional telephone systems the selection of phones has been severely limited to those models provided by the phone manufacturer. Today SwyxWare supports a diverse range of devices including low cost USB phones in combination with a feature-rich softphone, deskphones with large colour displays, DECT/WLAN/SIP terminals, mobile phones and smartphones with Windows Mobile, Blackberry and Symbian operating systems. There is maximum choice for maximum sales opportunities for dealers.”
