Dealers were wined and dined as part of an exclusive 24-hour VIP event hosted by distributor Nimans which showcased the future of global mobility communications from Ericsson. It was a case of the old meeting the new when selected dealers converged at historic Coombe Abbey, staying overnight at the picturesque Warwickshire venue – a former 12th Century Cistercian Abbey.
The invited audience heard about the positive impact Ericsson and Nimans can bring to their businesses with particular emphasis placed on the vendor’s growing product portfolio including the Evolution system which is aimed at SME’s, the MX-ONE the successor to their enterprise platform, MD110, and also the EMS, Enterprise Multimedia Server. In addition dealers were also able to experience the benefits of Ericsson’s EMO handheld mobile organiser.
Nimans’ Ericsson Business Manager, Chris Birchall, said the invitation-only event was aimed at new dealers and had been a resounding success, particularly concerning the EMS system which provides many unique mobility solutions.
“The dealers in attendance are very excited by the new product developments and very much embraced the opportunities available for them to grow their businesses – with the innovative products from Ericsson and the high levels of support offered by Nimans.”
His positive comments were echoed by Tony Taylor, Sales and Marketing Director, of Leeds-based dealer, Phase CRS. He said: “I found the event very beneficial and interesting. It really opened my eyes to Ericsson. We have not been selling their products but that is definitely going to change. The mobile side of things really impressed me. Coombe Abbey was a very unique venue, I have never been anywhere quite like it before.”
Chris concluded: “Coombe Abbey is steeped in history and it was a very fitting venue when you consider how Ericsson is starting to revolutionise the future of integrated mobility communications. It was very much a case of the old meets the new. For us, EMS is a pioneering product, a feature-rich single box communication platform. There is nothing like it on the market and it is going to revolutionise mobility in the workplace.”
