PH Media Scale Heights for Hearing

PH Media Group, the UK provider of On-Hold Marketing and audio branding, has been raising money for people who are deaf and hard of hearing by scaling the steps to the top of iconic telecoms landmark, the BT Tower.

Staff from the company’s Manchester head office and regional London office climbed the tower’s 842 steps in aid of their chosen charity, Action on Hearing Loss, taking around 10 minutes to climb 581ft up the tower’s fire escape.

Formally the Royal National Institute for Deaf People, Action on Hearing Loss supports people who have full or partial hearing loss and hearing problems such as tinnitus. The BT Tower Climb was arranged to raise funds to help the ten million people in the UK who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Ryan Smith, Regional Director for PH Media Group, said, “Action on Hearing Loss encourages people to look after their hearing. As a company that produces On-Hold Marketing, this is a message we also want to promote.

“The climb has been a real challenge for the team but we’ve had great fun doing it and we’re delighted we’ve been able to raise funds for our favourite charity. How could we refuse when the opportunity arose; we work closely with the telecoms industry so climbing the BT Tower made perfect sense.”

PH Media Group has a target to raise £10,000 to allow Action on Hearing Loss to continue its work across the country, including building sensory gardens in care homes and funding training for British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters.
