plan.com has been shortlisted for an Amazon Growing Business Award. Now in their eighteenth year, the awards reward accomplishment based on growth and recognise companies who have set out to make a difference in their markets. Innocent Drinks, Betfair and Love Film have all been previous winners, while VIP guests have included Bill Gates, Gordon Brown and Stelios Haji-Ioannou.
Keith Curran, Co-Founder of plan.com said, “We are absolutely thrilled to be shortlisted for such a prestigious award. Our mission from the very start was to shake things up with a fresh approach, state-of-the-art thinking and a brand new way of doing things. The challenge we face with most industry awards is that we either sit outside or span across most categories and, as the judges’ notes often show, they find it hard to compare us with our peers.”
plan.com is short-listed for the Growing Business of the Year alongside companies in the healthcare, IT, online retail, fleet management and holiday industries.
“We’re up against some very stiff competition, but stepping outside our comfort zone and taking on new rivals is something that we thrive on. Although financial performance, turnover and growth are important factors, the awards also take into account areas such as digital innovation and entrepreneurialism. They recognise businesses who stand out, so we’re definitely in with a shot,” said Keith.
The awards take place on 29 November at The Brewery, London.
