Projections in Focus at Nimans

Distributors
Project your profits is the message from Nimans as a series of portable pocket projectors continue to prove popular.

The distributor stocks four Philips PicoPix models – including a new WiFi version - combining a compact design with high picture performance – perfect for presentations and videos from computers, tablets, smartphones and memory sticks. The company also supplies a range of associated cables for easy connection such as to iPhones, iPads and games consoles.

The entry-level PPX2055 model for example is small and lightweight and can be easily connected to a notebook, netbook or laptop via USB. Images up to 120 inches can be displayed thanks to high quality LED technology that projects pictures and videos in vibrant colours and contrast. The device is USB powered so there’s no need for additional batteries. The projector employs LED technology and will run for an impressive 30,000 hours – no expensive bulbs to replace.

Nimans’ Head of Dealer Sales, Tom Maxwell, says the projectors start at £166 (trade) and offer resellers new ways to capitalise on advanced projector technology – with strong sales being reported in the education sector.

“Years ago projectors were confined to training rooms and boardrooms, often ceiling mounted. But now the latest devices have opened up the market as they are truly portable and pocket sized. Image quality is superb meaning they are the ideal companion in today’s mobile centric world – in the office, a hotel or a University. For the price of replacement bulb in a traditional projector, they can have a brand new portable unit.

“Many dealers are enjoying success with these innovative products as they are ideally suited to break-out sessions and meetings. Some models have a built in speaker and remote control as well as rechargeable batteries for up to two hours playback - part of a convenient all-in-one solution. For a reseller this is a growing area of the market that’s worth a closer look.”
