Scalado, the mobile imaging experts, has announced that it is expanding its global operations with the establishment of Scalado Inc., a new US division that will operate from offices based in Silicon Valley and San Diego, California.
The Company, which already has operations in both Europe and Asia, has earned a worldwide reputation for providing mobile imaging software solutions that are powerful, scalable and modular for any camera phone.
Scalado’s mission is to make imaging on mobile phones more efficient by bringing higher usability for end users, and by cutting hardware costs for handset manufacturers who are increasingly having to compete with products which can offer phone, email, camera, and music functions in a single device. Its new US offices will provide easy access to a number of its key strategic partners in this area, including companies such as Intel, Kodak, TI, and MtekVision.
Fadi Abbas, general manager at Scalado, stated: “Growing our presence in Northern America plays a central role in our expansion and strategic plans for the entire mobile imaging industry. The need for super fast, powerful, memory efficient image processing software that can provide a positive user experience and rapid time to market is greater than ever. This solution has already gained the attention of many key figures in the industry, and will therefore boost our market penetration as we continue to cooperate with other major players in this market to strategically deliver out of the box solutions to the entire imaging sector.”
Scalado already lists the top five tier one mobile phone manufacturers as its licensees, and has doubled both its revenue and its total number of staff in the last year, thanks to its ongoing expansion in both Europe and Asia.
