Strongest ever quarter for Easynet with global sales wins

2008 is off to a fantastic start for Easynet as it announces its strongest-ever quarter for international sales. The managed network and hosting company has won significant business from organisations such as Q-Park NV, iBAHN, the Minit Group and Ceramtec– the result of its continued focus on service excellence.

The Q-Park Group operates car parking facilities across ten European countries and like Easynet, strives to deliver outstanding levels of customer service. To help Q-Park achieve this, Easynet is providing a managed network and hosting service which enables the company to share information such as car registration details within more than 350 European Q-Park sites to make life easier for its customers and streamline its own operations.

International business iBAHN is another new Easynet customer. iBAHN is the partner of choice to the hospitality industry with customers in 28 countries and it provides fully integrated hotel IP solutions to 1.5 million hotel guests per month. This includes digital TV, music and radio, video on demand and business grade high speed Internet.

Neil Williams, EMEA Operations Director for iBahn is delighted to have selected Easynet stating, “We have selected a new partner who is able to deliver improved service level agreements and superior reliability.” With the welfare of hotel guests in mind Williams continues “Put very simply, it means reduced risk to guests not being able to get online, and in the unlikely event of any dataline issues, they will be resolved much faster, minimising guest frustrations and limiting any impact to iBAHN partner hotels”.

Minit Group is one of the largest multi -national retail services companies in Europe operating 1.200 stores in over 10 countries The business owns such household names as Mister Minit, Montre Services and Minit Colors. Easynet is delivering managed network solutions to further improve the service it delivers to its customers by linking its European shops and offices.

In France Easynet has signed a contract with Kookai - one of the biggest ready-to-wear retail brands - for 160 shops including Spain, Luxembourg and Germany. All theses sites are connected with a VPN MPLS.

Another retail new customer is Pepe Jeans, a young fashionable company with headquarters in Barcelona although it was born in London in 1973. From its beginning it has shown an international spirit. The organisation has more than 200 stores in 20 countries. Pepe Jeans commercialize the brand and also manages the shops of the American company Tommy Hilfiger for Spain and Portugal. Easynet has started business with Pepe Jeans providing connectivity in these two countries.

For CeramTec AG, Germany, one of the world's leading manufacturers of high-tech, high-performance ceramics, Easynet has designed a custom-made end-to-end solution so that their sites in Italy, Spain, USA, Czech Republic and their six sites in Germany can interlink via MPLS VPN. DAT Germany, the worldwide oldest institution for automotive market research, ordered the implementation and operation of a stable MPLS network for several locations in Germany, Spain, France, Austria and Italy.
