Swyx Celebrates Strongest Ever Quarter and Announce UK Management Changes

Günter Junk, CEO, Swyx Solutions has written to his channel partners thanking them for their efforts in making their last quarter a sales record and advising them of changes to the UK management team.

Junk said that Swyx has just realised its highest first quarter results since its formation over seven years ago. Revenues have increased over 30% since the same period in 2006 and we can now boast over 7500 installations throughout Europe during the last two years, taking Swyx to the market leader position for SME IP PBX in Western Europe.

“This is compelling evidence that the market is not only adopting our software based ‘pure’ IP telephony approach but actually grabbing it with both hands. Over the last 2-years we have placed a significant amount of investment into the European market and in particular the channel in order to build our sales channels and more importantly our brand.

This included hiring key industry professionals, including Andy Bills, whose objective was to accelerate the development of the business in North Region (UK and Scandinavia) and specifically to establish a scalable professional sales channel in the UK.

This phase is now complete and the feedback from our reseller and distribution partners has been highly encouraging, as the benefits of this investment are now being reaped.

As such Andy has decided explore new challenges outside of the company and will leave at the end of the month. Everybody at Swyx would like to thank him for the major contribution that he has made and wish him every success in the future.”

Junk went on to say that the next chapter in the Swyx’s development is to leverage this success and concentrate on an aggressive research and development programme that will keep SwyxWare at the forefront of IP Communications technology, whilst keeping the momentum in the channel with continued sales and marketing efforts.

In order to achieve this he says there will be some minor changes to the European structure:

– Ralf Ebbinghaus, Senior Vice President of Sales will now be personally responsible for all European sales regions, taking over from Andy at the end of the month;

– The UK sales and support team remains unaffected and will continue to support the channel as usual, with Dave Pitts continuing as the Sales & Channel Leader for the UK region.

Ebbinghaus is one of the founding members of Swyx and until 2005 was responsible for Sales in the UK & Northern Europe regions in addition to other sales regions. He is a familiar figure in the UK market and channels, and is well versed in the market landscape and dynamics of the UK.

It is expected that Ebbinghaus will host a series of local breakfast seminars on Swyx, including covering their new product and market development initiatives, in June and July.
